PET Biaxial Geogrid (GeoFanGrid® WP) is a biaxial geogrid made from high-tenacity PET yarns, which are encased in a protective polymer coating to resist chemical degradation under extreme pH conditions.

The high-strength PET yarns provide long design life and excellent creep resistance, while the material’s flexibility allows quick and easy installation. GeoFanGrid® WP also offers high tensile strength, excellent tear resistance, and a strong interlocking bond with soil and gravel, ensuring reliable performance in reinforced soil applications.

PET Biaxial Geogrid (GeoFanGrid® WP) is primarily used for basal reinforcement in both paved and unpaved road applications, where it absorbs lateral forces from traffic loading on the subgrade. Manufactured from high-tenacity PET yarns encased in a protective polymer coating, it resists chemical attack in extreme pH conditions, ensuring long design life and excellent creep resistance. Its flexible nature also allows fast and easy installation.

Traffic loads are transferred to GeoFanGrid® WP through the interlocking of granular aggregates within the uniform apertures and the frictional resistance between the geogrid and sub-base. The product exhibits low elongation (~10% at ultimate load), which helps minimize rutting, extend the lifespan of unpaved roads, and reduce maintenance costs for both the road and vehicles. In paved construction, GeoFanGrid® WP provides basal reinforcement that reduces formation layer deformation, preventing stress propagation to the pavement surface and avoiding premature pavement failure.
