Triaxial geogrids are manufactured from polypropylene (PP) using the advanced "punch-and-draw" technique, a highly effective process that ensures superior performance. In this method, solid polymer sheets are first punched to create apertures, then carefully stretched to achieve optimal molecular orientation. This stretching process enhances the material’s strength and stiffness, ensuring a long design life as a high-modulus reinforcing layer in pavements. Primarily used for basal reinforcement, the geogrid absorbs lateral forces exerted on the subgrade by traffic loading. These forces are transferred to the geogrid through the interlocking action of granular aggregates within the geogrid’s apertures and the frictional resistance between the geogrid and the sub-base.

GeoFanGrid® PPT is a high-performance polypropylene (PP) triaxial plastic geogrid, designed for soil reinforcement and stabilization in civil engineering and construction projects. Unlike biaxial geogrids, which reinforce in two directions, triaxial geogrids provide reinforcement in three directions: longitudinal (machine direction), transverse (cross direction), and vertical (z-axis). This three-dimensional reinforcement improves load distribution, soil confinement, and overall structural stability.
Manufactured from high-strength polypropylene, GeoFanGrid® PPT is extruded and stretched to form a grid structure with interconnected ribs and apertures.
