The polymer is oriented in a directional linear configuration, forming a long, elliptical, interconnected network with uniform distribution and strong nodes. This structure provides excellent tensile strength and rigidity, creating an ideal system for bearing and distributing loads within the soil.
A key advantage of uniaxial geogrids is their minimal deformation (creep) under long-term, continuous loading, offering far superior creep resistance compared to geogrids made from other materials. This property significantly enhances the longevity of the project.
The interlocking between the geogrid mesh and the soil forms an efficient stress-transfer mechanism, allowing local loads to rapidly and evenly disperse over a wide soil area. This reduces localized stress and helps extend the service life of the structure.

HDPE Uniaxial Plastic Geogrid (GeoFanGrid® HD) is produced using the proven “punch-and-draw” technique combined with advanced manufacturing technology. Solid polymer sheets are first perforated with precision-punched apertures, then carefully stretched to optimize molecular orientation within the monolithic polymer structure. This process enables the geogrid to achieve high ultimate tensile strengths of up to 160 kN/m.
GeoFanGrid® HD is made from High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE). Its production involves extruding polymer sheets, punching the designed apertures, and heating while performing longitudinal stretching to ensure maximum strength and durability.
