Woven Geotextile

Woven geotextile is made by interlacing at least two sets of parallel yarns or flat yarns. The longitudinal yarns, known as warp yarns, run in the direction of fabric production, while the transverse yarns, called weft yarns, are arranged horizontally. Through different weaving equipment and manufacturing processes, woven geotextiles can be produced in various thicknesses and densities to meet specific application requirements. In general, woven geotextiles exhibit high tensile strength in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, with transverse strength typically greater than longitudinal strength, and provide excellent structural stability and performance.

Woven Geotextiles could be used in rock projects such as highways, railways, airports, rock dams, breakwaters, retaining walls, backfills, borders, etc., to disperse soil stress, increase soil modulus, limit soil slip, and improve stability.

Woven Geotextiles prevent the embankment from being scoured by wind, wave, tide and rain, and are used for bank protection, slope protection, bottom protection, and soil erosion prevention.

Woven Geotextiles could be used for the filter layer of embankments, dams, rivers and coastal rocks, soil slopes, and retaining walls to prevent sand particles from passing through, while allowing water or air to pass freely.

PP Mono Filament Woven Geotextiles (GeofanTex® WN) are manufactured using either slit tapes (tape fabrics) or filament yarns. The fabric structure is formed by interlacing warp yarns with weft yarns.
